What is I Hate Artists? Here I will try to offer some kind of explanation. This will likely be updated from time to time as I change my mind; but I will always leave the old versions up because I think it is important to remember where you came from.
Like all of mankind, I am confused. I know for sure I am an artist, but one part of me says it is a clever gimmick used to draw attention to my art. A marketing tool, if you will.
One part says it is the poison that the art community needs to be revitalized. Anger causes action and perhaps this concept will cause people to be angry and in doing so, will help motivate their artistic pipelines so that they may be replinished with ideas.
Another side of me says it is genuine hatred for a community that has shown me no attention, or at least not as much attention as I feel I might deserve, if this were the dominant or true answer.
The final side of me believes it is a placebo; people will define it themselves. They may feel the same as any of the above, and thus it will be whatever people want it to be.
Maybe it is all of the above. Maybe it is none of the above.
